Mounting up the Snowblower

Just from my experience the lifespan of LED's has gotten a lot better. They seem to be running cooler now which should help.

I'm going to try a different set of LED bulbs in the Craftsman snowblower tractor.



I gave them a test and they look brighter than the others that I had. We'll see if the hold up.

I haven't had to blow snow in the dark yet but one can dream....LOL. Just want to be prepared in case we get the BIG one. Our 14" snow we got a few years back was plenty deep so if we were to get more than that I may want to blow it a couple times so it goes a little easier.

I recently changed over to led bulbs in a Wheel Horse. The 1156 bulbs it came with are listed at 420 lumens each.
The led bulbs I put in are listed at 1500 lumens each. Huge difference.

Your idea of fun and mine ain't the same, Bill---LOL! All my neighbors are nuts so they would think it is normal!

Have at it Chris!!! I don't enjoy doing anything involved with s-word, except getting some seat time on the MF8E---in the day! I did do some plowing a couple of years ago at night. Had my fill of it then.

It gets dark before 5pm now. My machine used 35W incandescent OE bulbs. It was like plowing with a pair of night lights up front. Due to the very shallow headlight assemblies, the LED types will not fit! I did find 40W halogens! It's like normal vehicle headlights now. I CAN SEE !

550Ft long drive to plow.


And the bulbs are smaller, yet the light filament is so beefy thick.


Also, should anyone else need a REAR work light whilst plowing, the Harbor Freight 50W halogen is awesome too!



Easy to mount on just about anything!
