MTD 990 Out For The First Time

This old beast was eager to wake up. It started right up no issues but a little smoke and off we went for a ride. You just can’t beat an old 16hp Briggs for an old engine.

Nice... I agree 100%... those cast iron B&S engines were the best of the times, waaay more torque than any similar cast single of the era.

I have a 10 hp cast briggs here. 16 ftlbs of torque far as I know. Don’t know if they’ed have waaay more torque Lance. Should be similar torque , just make it at different RPM’s maybe.

Haha.. Well Ya... my tractor is only built to do one thing... but it does it very well. Lolol
