Murray...

So little Murray was hoping to go out on a hot date with Alice. But by the time he got enough nerve to go ask her out she was already chillin out with Johnny boy. A whole night of fuming and sulking in the corner glaring at who wrecked his plans turned him cross eyed.

The Murrays are nice basic GTs. Easy to work on and tough enough. The use the Peerless 2300 granny 4 speed that is used in Deere,Jacobsen and other GTs. They will except a sleeve hitch or a Sears 3 point. Up until 89,I believe, when they completely redesigned them.

This does have the Murray hitch on it!

I dont know what year murray my grandfather had. It came from a department store in the late 80s. He had wheel weights, chains, and ran the snot out of that thing.

The frame broke on it eventually I believe. I'd have to ask my dad for details. I remember him unloading it out of his truck when I was a kid. I remember cutting grass with it in the mid 90s

Pretty tough old girl.

The early style were good tractors. They were sold thru Sears as an economy GT in the late 70s and stayed with that frame, rearend setup until the late 80s. When they redesigned they lightened them up and went the lighter rearends. I like the early versions, not so much the later ones ( at least for hard GT work ).
