My 1967 Sears/Craftsman Lawn Tractor Projects....

Well Eric, I'm an old sign painter and your letting will do fine! Grit tape shouldn't be hard to find like the guys said above. We used to even mix sand into paint to color match on truck running boards.

Looking forward to seeing them assembled!

Thank you for the suggestion sir, I did indeed look in Home Cheapo but it seems they are a little too small for me. I need 5 maybe 6 inches wide, all they have is 4 inches. I looked on Amazon as well, they have 6 inch by 24 inch ones for $10.00 but they come in a package of 3. I am seriously considering those, do I need 3 no I would only need one but maybe 2 if I mess up. I guess if I get the 3 pack and don't use it all I could save the rest for when or if I redo another tractor. This suggestion of yours sir is definitely something I will keep in mind though, thanks again for your help and Merry Christmas

I was gonna buy this at Home Cheapo but I didn't like the yellow stripe so I passed on it....

But while I was there I measured it up and it will work.....

December 23rd 2020, I took the old tape off and sanded down the footrests to get them ready for paint. Notice the grinder wheel marks, I did not do those that is what I found when I peeled off the tape....

December 28th 2020, it was a nice day in the 50s so I took advantage of it and painted. Now there are a few runs although you may not see them, I may fix them before I put the new tape on but not sure yet.....
