My Burns tractor

I recently got a 1962 Burns tractor that belonged to a late friend. His son in law posted it for sale for his widow. They thought it was a Ford because he had stuck a Ford emblem on the hood years ago. It has a 10HP B&S engine. The engine runs great and everything works, even the factory cigarette lighter. The chassis has been painted red but it was originally blue & white.

I thought the original colors where green?, neat tractor, kinda of a less seen Briggs model with the air and s/g. Did you get the belt guard?

No my late buddy didn't have it. He lost the tip of a finger because of it. He never ran the tractor again. I will make one.

I plan to replace the front tires before July 29 and take it to the upcoming show in Boone NC, about 30 miles from home. I need one to cruise the grounds on.

That's a cool little tractor! The manufacturers didn't believe in running boards back then. Sometimes I sure would like some on my MF8E.
