That's a beauty, J. Beal! Good job keeping it in the family! Grandpa would be proud!

I still have the truck I got my first drivers license in also, in 1971. It's Mom's 1970 GMC Jimmy she bought earlier in 1971. It's in a few hundred pieces in my shop unfortunately.

I've been Ford with trucks except my very first, which was a Toyota Hu-lux. My favorite body style I've owned was my 1986 F250. My favorite Chevy trucks were also the 80's models.

HAD A 97GMC 4X4 NEW, WAS THE FIRST NEW TRUCK I HAD EVER BOUGHT. THEN GOT MARRIED , DIVORCED AND AWAY SHE WENT...…..THE TRUCK AND HER!!.ONLY MISS THE OLE TRUCK
SQUARE BODIES ARE STILL THE BEST LOOKING AND MOST POPULAR BUT I DO LIKE THE NEWER LUXURY THINGS THO OLD GIRLS DID NOT HAVE
LIKE BACK UP CAMERA'S MAKES BACKING UP TO TRAILER EASIER!!!

Chevy never made many good front ends. My favorite was the '67-'68s.
BUT ----- GMC made some good looking front ends----LOL! All right I am a little biased---! We have 4 of them.

Sorry I couldn't help it---LOL!

Why did they make the bedsides so tall in recent years? Many you can't reach over the side any more and grab something out. I don't believe that people would load them with something like sand these days where they need the extended sidewalls
Most newer truck look a likes will never haul much more than a couple of bags of groceries, the overpriced high tech leather interior furthest thing from a work vehicles things that so called trucks have become. Wanna haul a push mower or a couple of bags of mulch? Gotta look silly and do it on a trailer ohh no, can't dare scratch a truck bed
Although most are too short to be worth anything for hauling these days to begin with.

This is my other truck its a 1984 53k original miles on it I bought it off the original owner I put a lift some factory blazer wheels and some 35"tires on it . it still has the 250 Inline six runs so sweet

You have a great pair of trucks, J beal! That 250 is a great engine! My '55 has it's smaller brother in it, A 230. Same series of engines. Just about indestructable.
