My stepdad and I went to his shop yesterday to bring him some car parts for him to paint, and I saw this on a trailer. He says he is going to get it running then figure out what he wants to do with it. I figured I would share it with everyone, I believe @Propane1 has one of these. Anyone know what exact year it is? I read on TractorData that it is a 1972 to 1976 model.

I remember using one of those Fords from the late 70s at work. It was heavy and slow. The lift barely raised the deck off the ground and when I tried to mow near a shallow wet ditch line, it spun out and got stuck. We had to use a pickup to pull it out. What a cow! But, yours may vary.

Bet it would look good fixed up Eric..
Maybe your stepdad is thinking the same thing ?
If it was mine, I would leave it alone and just get it running. You know, like my hydro Craftsman. I love old stuff in its original condition, because as they say they are only original once. Also because I don’t have to worry about it getting scratched by someone. My stepdad on the other hand, he doesn’t like old ratty things. He likes stuff to look good and restored, but original.

I like the well used look too....or maybe I am just too lazy to restore....lol

I think along the same lines too, Eric and Harry. It is probably laziness on my part too, but I could put a ton of hours and money into a restoration and lose money if I had to sell. They are my tools and I have always appreciated seeing them in their "work clothes", wearing the history behind them.

Great tractors, by the way, Harry!

I don’t blame ya, I been restoring my tractor goin on 4 years now. Part of it is laziness especially since I’m on dialysis and get tired, part of it is other projects, and part of it is working when I was. I would like to have it done by this time next year, but who knows.
