This is a very popular plow from the 70s thru the early 2000s over here in the USA. Even Yanmar had a few of these under their branding. Its a good bottom plow for a compact tractor.

Hi If I do not try it out to satisfy my curiosity I will never know,This is a rare chance to plough with a piece of Scottish history there may be no other single Harness plough in the United Kingdom, there are some double furrows in the UK that do well. The plough I have at the moment is basic the Harkness has a sliding cross bar a more precise depth wheel and has an adjustable top link, more pictures if and when I see it.I will be glad to say I have done it ,rather I wished I had .Here is a picture of a double furrow in action !0 miles from where it was made. The man that helped design and used the Harkness only died last year .the smiddy he owned is still in existence.Sorry this turned into a story

Don't be sorry. We like reading about the history of implements, especially those 'across the pond'. Not something we see everyday, though may be your everyday.
