Damn, this back burner is getting full.
Have an opportunity to pick this engine up. It is not seized, and I can only really nail down 4 things that it's missing.
The gas tank, the valve pushrod, the skids, and the little lever that goes from the governor to the throttle rod.

This is the gov to pushrod piece. It may be a challenge to make something functional, but it'll have to be on the list at some point.

Seen a whole bunch of similar engines this last weekend.

No, It's a low tension magneto unit. The piece and the picture that is missing, goes from the governor to the throttle linkage

That's not low tension, it has a spark plug. Looks like a Bosch AB33/34 mag that someone has put a horseshoe magnet on. Originally they were just flat magnets on either side.

Yeah, it's a 33. Figured that out and forgot I called it the wrong thing here.
The magnet: I found a pic of one somewhere else with one like that.
Is it possible it was an upgrade?

The magnet was never an upgrade with F-M but I've heard of it being done. The problem I see is that the mag was held down with a crossbar and bolts on each side of the mag. You're going to have to figure a way to mount it.
