1978 Mitsubishi D1850FD, 4 cy, 4wd, diesel, gray market, K4A
1) The K4D manual states oil capacity at 6L. I read somewhere, this manual or another simuler, stated check dip stick check level NOT threaded in.
Today i did an oil change, I think mine is a K4A motor, i put in 4.78L and checked level with stick all the way in and it's a bit over full. The dip stick does NOT have threads, see pic, if i don't push the stick in past the rubber, it'll level is low.
2) The front end diff. has 3 drains (bottom) and a fill (top), i could not find a full check port, is there any danger filling it all the way to the top?
Also, for the rear end, does it take diff. fluid? I'm not so sure,(see pics) or does it run with the trans. HF?
Tractor is new to me. Thanks for any help.
