1966 Shovelhead that I put together in 2005, built to look as if it had rolled right out of the late 60's.

It was a lot more stylish than comfortable.

Kind of what I thought. All that rake and a hard tail probably made it pretty uncomfortable. Beautiful to look at.

The rake was pretty important when it came to how the bike handled, you needed enough rake to keep the front end from flopping, a decent seat made up for the hardtail. I coulda used a better seat.

On the way home a few years ago we stopped at the orange chopper place in new York. Amazing work, fabrication and paint. I have zero idea how anyone could even ride one those custom bikes. The bikes seemed alot bigger and awkward up close in person.
