Got a new 22" Blue Bird power rake coming. Gonna do my place and thinking about hiring a local high school kid for a helper and advertise to do other folks lawns. Having a sprinkler system I have to put the air to my system and mark all the heads with survey flags as I'm sure the flails will wreck a head. I'm also hoping this will level out all the nightcrawler humps.

Update: I finally got it 2 months later, way too late to use it in the spring so I'll do it this fall. Have to get a bundle of marker flags for all the sprinkler heads before dethatching.

I got a Bluebird as a curbside find a few years ago. Didn't take much to have it running either. Just a needle and seat in it's 5hp Tecumseh, was all. Still have it, so far have only done my own yard with it, this year gonna have to do Mom's yard and mother in law's too grrrrrr.

who, me?
Yup. I do. Got it last year just before leaf harvest, Billy Goat brand. It's an older one, ran but the bag was shot, I did have to get a new bag for it.

At the rate the piss elms are dropping leaves, doubt they'll have any by frost time!

Our Cottonwood shade tree has been dropping leaves for months. Literally raked them out of the show a couple times.

Update: Mowed all the grass down a little shorter and got all sprinkler heads marked with the wire survey stakes with orange flags. When it dries enough I'll run the new toy over all the lawn and vac it all up and see how the grass does in the spring.
