Pony bracket

Hi everyone across the pond. I am now getting down to the last parts to get refitted to the Pony. Still waiting for a new front grill fitting kit and some new gauges which are supposedly in the post but I have a question for you all. I have this bracket which has a sort of resting plate fitted . For some reason I think it’s part of the starter/crank handle fitment but I am at a loss to remember where it came from. Any ideas bearing in mind it’s French built.

Sorry I can not tell you how the crank goes on the pony I have. It never had one so when I was walking in a tractor salvage yard that is one part I picked up and made up a holder for it.

The Pacer same as the pony but more HP (16) came with a custom made crank. much longer and fastened to the right frame rain right of the seat and a clip on the fender.

I am not sure the parts book will show the location but will try to remember to look into it.

Cheers Al. I have had a couple of answers from a French site but they are a little unclear. You wouldn’t think a small bracket would be such a problem. I can see what it does but there are no holes to take it.
