Hi all, First post over here. Saw this listed on Craigslist last week and went to pick it up on Saturday. Not really a machine I'd go for with the price he had listed but had a story that my mom told me years ago that made it worth it. Back in the early to mid 70's her and my uncle used to mow the grass at my grandparents house with 2 small rer's and a couple push mowers and it would take them at least a weekend to do it. I believe that cause I mow the same place with my Cub Cadet 1914 with a 60" deck and it takes me up to 7 hours depending on how much I have to do. The story goes that the one she used was a little green mower with the engine in the back that had a hoop handle to steer it that flipped over to the front like on a kids wagon. She was down in the back corner of the field at the bottom of the hill and it ran out of gas. So instead of walking all the way back to get some and the going back to the tractor she flipped the handle over and pulled it back to the barn. My grandpa saw her and was surprised she was able to pull it and figured that the mower finally gave out as he had bought it used off the side of the road. Put gas in it and it fired right back up and she mowed with it for a couple more years till it finally wore out and got scrapped. Ever since she told me about it I've been looking for one and would show her pictures of all the old odd rer's I could find and it was always not it or close but some little thing was wrong until this one popped up and I showed it to her and got thats the one. Went to get it and a couple other things he had listed and looked it over and loaded them up. Now to get it running and see what it needs. The engine is free and has good compression and all but the steering moves freely. Need to spray all the linkage too loosen that up. Now here's what you're waiting for, the pictures. Enjoy. Stewart

Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll have time to tinker with it and see if I can make it run. It has a 5 or so horse Tecumseh with the gas tank made into the blower housing, solid rubber tires on the front pneumatic on the rear, a basic forward/reverse setup where you tighten the belt to go forward and move the pulley against the crankshaft? for reverse, and surprisingly it has a differential lock like the old Ariens snow blowers. The drive is unique as it looks like an older Peerless transaxle except its just the differential inside and the input shaft has the pulley on it for forward/reverse and the whole input assembly pivots when the drive lever is moved
