A friend and customer of mine brought in her 425 for a deck problem that I sure cant find,She stepped on the non chute side of the deck while getting on the tractor the other day and heard a bang and the deck dropped from lift height to mowing height instantly and now will only lift the chute side of the deck,I have looked till I am cross eyed and see no damage and I am sure its one of those right there in your face simple things to see but it really eludes me,,,Any Ideas??The chute side lifts properly when the hydraulics are applied but the other side hardly moves,

Totally different mower but I had similar problem with my ZT. There is a rod that has arms that lift the deck and one didn't get welded properly. Had weld around it but not on the bracket. Had to pull it out and reweld it.

I'm thinking a lift link or arm broke.

It happened on my original jd 68 deck. I was cutting and then it was suddenly cutting into the ground on one side!. The deck has rotted so much it has huge rust holes, so the lift arm snapped out. So I got my non running jd 68 that had a new deck on it at some time in the past and have used it ever since, though I take it off and have painted it twice
