Anybody who grows potatoes, knows that they will flower and produce seeds. So, I am wondering, if I take the buds/flowers off the plant, will the plant put more growth in to the potatoes under ground. ?

I thought that the potato was the seed. I figure the flowers are so bees can polinate the plants.....or something like that.

That said, dug up a plant and had some last night....small, but tastey.

I don’t have a picture of the seeds. But they grow to be about 1” in diameter. And yes we use the under ground potato for seed. So I’m not sure the top seed or what ever it’s called.
Bugs slowing down for you Harry.

I have never tried that. So I don’t know. One thing I read was, don’t eat that seed. It’s toxic. I have never seen that type of seed for sale.
