rear PTO shaft

I have been doing some research and I have found that the shaft that I need could cost more than a GT. I own a wheelhorse D series with front and rear PTO. It is a 1" X 15 tooth shaft. I need to go from it to a round shaft with a pin in it roughly 36" long. By the time I buy the parts to build a shaft it would cost well over a hundred dollars. I see those prices on full size tractor shafts but there has got to be a better way to get what I need. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Ariens runs the 1"-15 spline too. I have gotten them elsewhere besides Ariens, you want to talk gold plated prices check out Ariens OEM parts. There's a couple of companies that offer that size spline and yoke

I was going to suggest that site Kenny. Their hardware store is 3 miles from me. The guys at the parts counter are amazing when it comes to finding odd parts. I ordered a motor through them one time, a special thing of 1.2rpm that wasn't stocked, 20 hours later it was at the store waiting for me.
