We decided this year not to start any plants like before. It’s economical but causes us to put out way too much. We’re going to cut back a little more than last year. The only potatoes that I’m going to plant are the seed potatoes from last year. I’ll still have the two gardens but not as many plants. I want to plant several types of pumpkins and gourd's to keep from buying them in the Fall for decorations.

I planted 232 onion plants of red, yellow, and white. I also planted about 30 white onion sets and I’ll plant more of them after about two weeks. I tilled up Carols flower beds along side of the garden fence. I’m hoping to get the gardens tilled next week.

I have made that decision several times in the past...it never works out well, LOL. Seems I always weaken and start some anyway. Then it doesn't look like enough so I panic and go to the greenhouse and buy a few more and the garden stays about the same size anyhow. Good luck with your plan, and may the garden gods be with you ;) .
