I swapped out the starter of my tractor a couple years back. Now it spins but doesn't engage. I am now plagued with CRS syndrome. I can remember every step of swapping a complete stick setup for an automatic in my 53 Chevy when I was 16 and can't remember *&^% about changing that starter. Any Help?

I use it at least once a week usually much more. Cranked it and it fired but didn't start. Tried again and the starter turned but the engine didn't. Thinking I need to remove the starter just frustrated I can't remember the process. It is like I must have done it in my sleep last time.

Disconnect battery
Remove side cover if still on tractor, then remove flywheel cover
Remove flywheel.
Remover starter wiring then bolts
Tilt it back towards dash and wiggle it out.
Once back on, you may need to adjust starter so teeth engage flywheel at proper depth.
