Shopsmith Lift Assist

Finally broke down and bought one while they had them for $30 off. To lift the unit from horizontal to vertical position is about a 65 lb. lift. Shoulders cannot handle that anymore. With the lift assist it only takes about 5 lbs of lift. Should have bought when they first came out. Internet photo.

That is one strong strut for sure. With bad shoulders it was a chore to raise it to the vertical position, and do it safely. With the lift assist it is an easy 2 finger task, and it will hold in any position.
