Yesterday I cut some grass that goes through some wooded areas that’s beyond the yard. I only cut this about every other week. It’s somewhat challenging for regular turfs. My tire setup on this worked out great. It was comforting having that feeling your gripping good with out having to get into the side saddle occasionally. I did get a little rear tire spin but lowering the pressure from 8 to 5 pounds took care of that. This also was the longest this tractor has ran since I got it. Switching the choke back around to manual for some reason beyond my thoughts took care of my erratic carb settings. I still will be getting a longer cable for this. Climbing aboard and ready to go then realizing you got to get back off to turn the choke on isn’t fun. The deck worked flawlessly, smooth running, floated nicely, and looks good too lol. Even though the yard don’t need cut yet I zipped around the house on the way back. Honestly I forgot the deck was engaged and quickly mulched one of Carols flower beds. I have to get use to the discharge chute being on the left side. A lot of work went into this tractor but like most of us experience the reward later makes it worth while.

Good looking machine. I wish mine was a hydro instead of a shuttle. When I got mine it didn't have a deck with it.
That was the main reason I bought this was for the deck. I had to retire the deck on my 7117H. I was going to put the deck on it but decided to keep it on the 3415H. I didn’t realize how good of shape this was. I have a rear mounted tiller for the 7117H along with a boom bar. It also has been repowered with a 20 hp Kohler Magnum. I really driving it for grunt work and the tiller.

Beautiful property and nice tractor, Jim! I see a clawfoot bathtub. Is it a planter like the one my wife has?

Yeah on the tub Doug I pulled that out of a home probably at least 30 years ago. She also has a rinsing tub with the wooden ringers that clamps on the top for laundry and of coarse the two tone pink wringer washer from Sears.
