Snapper deck on the Country Squire

Been busy working in the shop some when not mowing or working the garden, this project is to install a Snapper single blade 30 inch deck on the Country Squire, plan to use it as a small rough cut mower and its coming along good. Added a couple of tabs to the hitch for the front mount and the Snapper suspension rear cables to mount the deck had to use the smoke tool to straighten the height control lever and then rebend it so it was 2" out so it would clear the tractor. Since this is a RH discharge deck and the engine pto is set up for a LH deck (and no way to change it) there will be a twist in the belt did a short test run a couple of days ago and it ran fine. Tomorrow will install the deck and see how the hieght adjust system works and will find a drive belt and install the new blade that came this afternoon

Installed the deck this morning its going to work, the aft suspension cables are a tad to long so I'll have change to a set of chains that can be adjusted, aft getting it under the tractor I had to heat and bend the lift lever out some I had it there but decided to go in a bit should have left it, but it does work found a belt and installed it and its working just needs some minor adjustments

Removed the cables and replaced them with some light chain and a couple of eye bolts now have lots of adjustment now at max ht setting it cuts ar 3" really wanted another inch after looking it over discovered the front of the deck frame is hitting the tractor front mounts will check it out better tomorrow. Took it out and did a quick test run and it mows I don't have any tall grass around the shop but did find some that was about 3.5 ti 4 inches and it cut good

Took the Country Squire out this morning and did a trail cutting with the deck it worked good cut fine but 30" is small but then I main reason for this install is as a rough cut mower
