Has anybody done this with your garden tractor. How did it work. How was it powered. Any pictures. Just wondering. Would like to do it. But depends if I ever get a hydraulic loader on a garden tractor. Be good for the big banks I’d say.
YouTube has a few videos of some like that. Some snowstorms it could be handy. I keep this idea of a rear mounted blower. Plow on the front and blower weight on the drive axle.
I was thinking about mounting a blower on the back of one of my Fords. I would have a blade on the front and it would be powered by the PTO that drives the tiller. The tiller shaft turns the wrong way, so kind of put it on the back burner for now.
Yep. On my MF 12. It’s the thrower that’s suppose to be on the front. I mounted a 8 hp, a little small, on it to run the thrower. Works good. Fun to use. But hard on the back.
I can't twist my neck and look back anymore either, I can see some advantages to having the blower on the loader like you say you could lift it up and eat your way though the snowbanks down side is all the wt out front would require lots of counter wt on the back of the tractor. I mounted a self [owered blower on the Power King blower looks like Noel's mine has a 10 hp Tec on it it works I like the self power in that you can regulator your speed with the tractor engine and the blower is at full throttle
Yea I use chains and have barbell wts mounted on the drawbar I think its 60 lbs nice thing with that tractor when the blower is rasied the drawbar goes down so it really counter balances nicely, I made some simple side panel to bring the heat off the engine into the cab even though the back is open it really helps after working for some time it feels good.
