So,,,,,,,, the Beepin potatoe bugs have started.

Found 4 adults yesterday. So that means 6 million baby bugs in three weeks time. This is at my sons place. So have to use fuel almost every day to go kill the bugs.
Make me wonder why I do this. ?

I just figured it up. Costs around $10.00 in gas to go to my sons and back.
So I have to do this for about 60 days going back and forth.
But I can do other things while there. But not every day.

If it's at your son's where the problems are, Noel, just make sure he has the propane bottles full to fry the little critters and he leaves gas money for you---LOL! For some reason I thought his place was just a few blocks from yours.

I haven't seen any here yet, but it hasn't been that warm. I figure the heat brings them out, I could be wrong. Going to have a good look today. Gotta do some hilling anyways.

I’ve only seen one so far on top of a corn leaf which is in the same area as the potatoes. We are having several of the Japanese Beetles arriving on Carols sun flowers. I went out yesterday and tapped 15 in a bowl of hot soapy water. I hope that couple in the middle had a good time before I arrived.

Went to sons to kill the bugs. Only one bug. 30 kilometres round trip. $10.00 plus do that. And now I got a brake caliber sticking making the milage a bit worse.

So,,, 6 bugs today. And two of them were at it. Know what I mean. Hehe. But, not any more !!!!
Strangely, the other garden I have at sons place, about 500’ between the gardens, has no bugs.
Anyway did a bunch of weeding and will hill the potatoes with in the next two weeks.
$1.66 worth of gas per bug this trip. Hehe.
Stay tuned for the, continuing story, about the potatoe patch.

So my truck has minor brake trouble, son let me use his loaner car until he gets part and hopefully we will fix truck on Saturday.
This vehicle costs $6.00 to get to sons and back. Cost per bug will be down a bit next killing.
