Hehe, not a classic, but was a neat old truck. My son bought this 16 years ago yesterday, when he was 15. We did a body job and motor was done over by him when he was in school. A shop project for the class. 302, 4 barrel carb and headers. Fun old truck to drive. But sadly it all rusted out again and not road worthy. Still has it. And it still runs. But body and frame are in bad shape. As he said yesterday, I’ve had I half my life.

Nice looking old Ford.
In 1993 I was looking for a pickup. I preferer a Chevy but a local dealer called me to say he had a nice Ford to look at. 1988 Ford F-150 long box with a 5 speed and a 300 6 cyl. Only had 17,000 original miles. I bought it and still have it. Gave it to the boy when he turned 16 in 2008. Had to put another engine in it but it still runs, but it goes thru slave cylinders for the trans about every 8k miles Rusty now but the boy thinks he wants to restore it some day.

Nice looking truck! My dad had an 88 F250 that he bought for a plow truck when he built our house. Great truck, had over 300,000 miles on it, he stopped driving it when it rotted out for the second time. Kept it for plowing a few years after that until it developed an electrical problem. I always loved it and wanted to fix it up for my first truck. My cousin ended up buying it for parts for his truck. The pictures are from the day he picked it up, after it was off the road for over 10 years, I don’t have any pictures from when it was nice.
