Seams like every winter I don't get the sprayer wands drained completely or not at all. Then the handle splits from freezing. New ones are $20 a pop now. Took one the other day and used a solder iron and black zip ties for filler and tried to plastic weld the crack shut. Worked but look kind of crude as the tip was not near wide enough to smooth it out. Ordered a plastic welder from Amazon for $30. Cleaned up one and repaired three other ones this morning. Tested them all on a hand sprayer and all held air. Put the new ones up where I won't be able to find them when I want one and will use the repaired ones. Didn't know there was a screen in each one of the handles till I took one apart. Even put new "O" rings on when I put the handles on.

We find so many broken ones at garage sales for $3 to $5. Get them home and simple repairs much of the time. Good for you keeping an eye on your equipment to last longer.
