Take a A/C 710 with a bad rear and a A/C 912 with a mangled frame...

This early 912 hydro came in with a badly mangled up front frame, engine mount, and front axle.
This 710 3 speed came in with a bad rear.
So making the best of it the the 710 got the rear half, from the bevel box on back,of the 912 hydro, along with the hydro linkage out of the 912.
One of the nice things about the large frame Simplicity/Allis tractors is that they are very easy to work on and very interchangable.

So, will this be a 712 or a 910? LOL Probably 712 since the front half is from the 710, huh? Nice save!
Kenny have couple more upgrades in store for this tractor. More power and hydraulic lift. So it will most likely end up a 716 hydro/hydro lift ( which wasn't available on the 700 series ).
I may go with a cast iron Briggs because I love the sound and feel of a cast iron Briggs. Then a good cleaning and waxing to give it a nice survivor type patina.
The cast iron Briggs is a bolt in since it was used in the Simplicity 7000 series versions of this model.
The 710 models had factory narrow tires front and rear while the the 712 had factory wider front and rear tires. I also plan to stay with factory narrow tires for a more correct 710 look. Maybe even ags and tri ribs when I get that far.

Those must both have the cone clutch center PTO. I tried swapping a front from a Simplicity 3410 onto a 3314H rear but the PTOs were different so I ended up putting new gears in the BGB of the 3410.
