I have known of the tractor since earlier this year.
I was loading my truck and trailer for the show and swap meet and amongst the stuff I was loading for the swap meet was a K241 10hp engine that my blacksmith buddy who was setting up for our show just had to have.
But he didnt want to buy it.
He kept trying to trade me stuff that I didnt want. I even offered to sell it to him very cheap.
Finally when he wouldnt stop I said "I'll trade you for that old Deere with trees growing up thru it".
He said "done". And that is how I ended up with the Deere from the woods.
Turns out it is a 66 first year and fairly low production 112 and a fairly well optioned one at that.

The tractor has factory headlights, tail light and rear lift. It is fairly straight and complete ( has not been jacked with ) if rough and well weathered.
The HH100 engine is free but missing the carb.
The transaxle is semi free and kind of shifts.
The left side outer axle bearing is shot and I think the left hub is too,I will have to give it a closer look to be sure.
I aired up the front tires and swapped out the rears to get it off the truck. ( we drug it out and loaded it with Jim's little loader ). I did happen to have a good pair of original rear tires so I popped the bad tires off the wheels and put the good ones on.

I blew it off with the air compressor and looked it over and that's about all the time I have had for it.
I rolled it out of the way on the gravel and put a tarp over it.

It may be a little while before I can get on this one so while I had a little shop time I pulled the deck off of the tractor.
Pretty much emptied 2 cans of PB blaster on it and put some Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinder.
The engine does seem fine and from the plug it was running good the last time it ran.
I managed to get the lift linkage, variator, and clutch/brake freed up.
Hopefully I will have the A/C 710,3speed/912 hydro hybrid tractor back together soon and I can put this one in the main work area... but it could be a while.

You are making progress! I am working on a tractor that spent a decade in the woods. Lots of penetrating fluids and patience. At least you are giving me hope that things can go again.
