Troybilt Horse?

Got one to look into. Seem to have stripped a few teeth in the tiller. How hard to fix and where to find parts is what I need.

You can usually find about anything on eBay. There a bronze gear that drives the tines I would guess that's the problem. I watched the scrap yards for a while and finally got all the parts to build one, if time isn't a issue that will save you some money that way.

This is not mine. Guy wants it back soon, fixed or not.
Looks like it's a model 680, may be the 'dog clutch' at the back of the main trans.

I got a few more pics and what I believe are the #'s off it. At the back of the gear housing cover is (best I can make out);

H 1003

81-25

Serial (above RH axle) is 57398.

Probably April 1973 if that number was from the right top of the transmission case next to the right wheel. No tiller clutch in that year.

they also make one under their own MTD Name so at Do It Best Hardwares. That Bronze gear is most likely the same.
