Hi Back to the drawing board .Freed of skimmer disc combination ,broke the point in the process new point to be fitted arrived today .Wheel moved in to take narrower furrow Two matches this weekend should show some good results .I can only dream HA HA

Pardon my ignorance but what is it your referring to as a skimmer

Skimmer is place beside the coulter. As you go along Gary it skims the sod off the ground and it falls into the furrow before the moldboard gets to it. The moldboard dirt then covers it. So the end result is, while plowing in a plow match you have no grass showing. Big points gainer. Hehe. But in normal every day farming it’s does the same thing. Burys the sod so it decomposes and is good for the ground. And it keeps the grass from growing back up before the next planting.

Thanks I see how it works around here we have what are called dirt scrapers but not a elaborate as the skimmer
