What Mechanics have to Deal with . . .

They have to be the worst of the worst..!

And talk about having a nail in your tire... o_O
And you just got to love the mattress one...:D

Whoever decided it was ok to turn the engine sideways in the engine bay and then further decided that it was ok to design the intake manifold so that it had to come off just to change spark plugs or anything else on the back bank of cylinders ought to be hung in gruesome fashion.
And people wonder why even though I drive the farthest by quite a stretch, yet I also drive the oldest vehicles by a longer shot than anyone else....

An old friend of mine has a shop in town that specializes in drive train and chassis repair. He put these pics on FB tonight. He said the customer told him "It just started making noise". I Don't know what the vehicle is. Some of you mechanics may know by sight.

I have a 2017 Ford Exploder (police interceptor) on the lift at work. 3 years old, bad RR hub bearing and bearing seized fast to knuckle.
been spraying it every time I walk by since yesterday. Cop has a loaner because this job came in as a "squeeze in," so working on it between other (scheduled) cars... trying NOT to have to pull the knuckle and put in a press to get it apart this time like I normally have to do with these damn things

My friend that took the pics I posted above said it was a F-150. He didn't say what year.

While visiting with a health care specialist at the clinic she mentioned she had run over something on the interstate and it was still stuck under her car. I suppose she was nervous about stopping so she had driven a ways before getting to work. I told her I'd go out and take a look so she went along. It was a 5 quart oil jug that someone had been using as a gas can and it still had some gas in it. It wasn't that far from her catalytic converter and I'm really glad it didn't catch fire.
Sure pays to stop and check out unusual noises under the car.

Good for you, Chris! You may have saved her from much grief!
