What would you do?

I've sold everything at my parents farm and sold the farm. I kept the smallest Mahindra diesel, a 28xl. When we locate to the country, that will come with us and get a FEL added to it. I'll also purchase a new garden tractor. I want it to mow in the summer and snow blow in the winter. A soft cab for the winter will be fine. If it happens next year, there seem to be three choices, Simplicity with a gas engine, Kubota with a diesel and a 758 John Deere. The Deere has the most to offer all around, but will a diesel do all right in the cold winters?
The GT will possibly make its way to the garden to do chores occasionally too. It will be brand new. A Craigslist find will serve as a back up as time goes by.

What would you recommend and why?

Kubota would be my choice, but I'm already bitten by the "K" bug. They are tough built though, and their plastics are much tougher than that of JD. Parts availability is awesome too. My tractor has a steel hood, but not sure about new models today. Put a block heater in the diesel and it'll fire in the coldest weather! Mine starts with just the glow plugs to the single F figures, but using a block heater is much easier on the engine.

All good choices.

For the Kubota, I'm thinking you are talking about the GR2120 garden tractor. That would be my last choice, since you already have a Mahindra 28 which is like the Kubota BX series. But the GR is not all that great compared to the other two you are looking at.

JD X758 is awesome...but it's green, a terrible color.

My choice would be the Simplicity Legacy XL, just as good if not better than the JD X758. But that's just me

All good machines. I think it would come down to dealer support for me.

Local kubota dealer has a bad image. Not many people enjoy dealing with them. John deere dealer is awesome. Simplicity dealer is about 2 hours away.

Saying that I'm a sucker for a x700 series deere!! Nice machines all around. I'd have one if I needed something that big
