I don’t know how the local mower shop knows whenever I get a little extra in the tractor fund.
They called today and suggested that I come look at a Wheel Horse. I don’t need another tractor it it does have a few parts I need.
It has a Napa car coil on it, which the mechanic says will not work well with the Kohler . I will replace it and try to get it running.
If it does run decent I have a mower deck for it. Otherwise it will be donating parts.

You got me thinking though. I think I stuck an automotive coil on the K321 in the MF1450. I have never liked how it runs at low rpms and idle. 3/4 to full throttle it seems fine. I wonder if that coil is the issue? What are you going to put on it for a coil?

with automotive coils you just need to know if that particular coil requires the external resister.... some do, some dont.

Hey Lance, been quite a while since we have heard from you! Hope all is well. The coil I used I'm sure would have been a resister coil.

ya the internet out here is quite slow so I dont spend alot of time on the pc.... and working/driving alot of hours so I can get this new place paid off asap... tractors is running fine, got some new cats... not much else going on

some of the auto coils have a built in resister but they look the same as the non-resister coils.... try it with and without the external resister to see if there is any change.
