All lined up for a photo shoot. Hehe. So tractors were lined up with the highest hp first, if same hp, then alphabetical order. The MF 12 has extra attachments.
First two tractors are 16 hp, next two are 14 hp and the last is 12 hp.

Still gotta get mine in shape. For now I have a 2 cycle rubber paddle snowblower and several shovels ready.
Just brought the "new" 8hp lawn boy snow blower that I got early in the summer home from the barn yesterday to see if it's worth doing anything with, next week I'm bringing my gt19 home to replace the bearings on the pto jackshaft that passes thru the front axle so I can mount the big blower back up, had to demote that machine to mowing duty this past summer. I did the front bearing as a"field repair" a couple of mowings ago, should have done them both then. The back bearing seemed ok then.... So in typical field repair fashion I did what had to be done to get the job done at the time. That and find out why the rt rear v- tread tire has been going flat...I did have that machine running yesterday for the 1st time in about 6 weeks or so.

Ok Noel, you have to have your favorite....! ?

Fun picture btw..

Not really Bill. But in a major snow fall it would be the Ford. And not because of the cab. Ive had it into snowbanks well over the engine bonnet. As far as traction goes, the John Deere is very comparable to the Ford, possibly better. That’s a hard one to call. But because of the split brakes on the John Deere, it could be better in some spots. Don’t know yet about the Cases. I really don’t think they would be as good as the Ford in the over the the engine bonnet stuff. The MF12 is versatile because of the bucket, or Plow and or rear thrower. It’s surprising what it will go thru with the rear thrower, fun for awhile. Then the neck and back hurt.

So a little more info on these tractors, if this interests you.

First one: 1982 Case 446 with 48”snocaster, only attachment with this tractor. Bought it Sept 2020. Did not look that good when I bought it.

Second one: 1980 Ford LGT 165 with snowblower, snowthrower, 50” mowing deck, 36” tiller and cab. Bought it Nov 16/2004. Bought the snow thrower about 4 years ago for it.

Third one: 1975 Case 224 with 48” mowing deck and 48” snocaster, 3 point hitch and rear hydraulic pto. Bought it Aug 2021. Needed a fair amount of repairs from sitting outside the last 5 years or so, from not being used, and hydraulic pump was bad.

Fourth one: 1970 John Deere 140H3 with 46” mowing deck and 46” snow thrower. Bought it around summer of 2013. Snow thrower was bought the next year or so, it came off a John Deere 317.

Fifth one: 1976 MF 12 with 42” mowing deck, 36” tiller, front mount 36” snow thrower, which I have rigged up to go on the back of the tractor, and homemade loader and trip bucket Can take bucket off and put a snow plow on. Bought it around fall 2011.

I hope you get to use them all this winter, Noel, and I don't have to use the MF8E at all---LOL! Now I jinxed myself and we will get the heavy snowfalls! I do have a blade for the MF12G (which I bought in summer 2011) and a snow blower, thrower, whatever it is. Never had the desire for trying that though. Had a big walk behind at one time an hated every second of blowing snow with that thing. Put the 10 hp Tec on a tractor (MF8E) and scrapped the rest.

Well Doug, glad you get along with the MF8E. I have a blade on my MF14, which is about the same size and weight as your MF 1450, and in most snow storms I can only get out of the garage about 10 feet and that’s as far as you can get. I only use it for very very light snow or doing clean up. Or just to have some fun. It is not in the 21/22 Snow Fighter Fleet line up as you can see. It’s not here for two reasons. One is, it can’t do all the snow clearing after a storm, two is, I have no room for it this year. But I think I will put the Plow on the MF 12 loader tractor. Take bucket off. Still good to have a Plow for some stuff. But the MF14 will easily out Plow the MF 12.

Found a few pictures Doug. I don’t think the MF8E could handle this. And that’s about all the MF14 is good for. Any more than that, may as well get the snow thrower out.
