Hi guys just a quick question
On my mini tractor it's has a Briggs & Stratton 18hp v twin
After it's been running for about half hour
I turn it off then 5.mins later try to start and it won't what could it be
Hope you have some ideas I could try
 
A few simple tests can really narrow down the possibilities of what is happening. Check for spark, any electric failure will show there. If that is good, then the fuel system is next to check.
 
Two things that spring to mind

Coil getting hot, breaking down and no spark.
Another idea might be vapor lock. My Roper will do that occasionally.
 
I think that I would check the fuel cut off solenoid in the float bowl section of the carb. That could be faulty or the wiring going to it could be bad. Last winter my Cub with the Briggs V-Twin decided to not start and after a little troubleshooting found the fuel cut-off solenoid plunger was not retracting letting fuel to pass. I was in a pinch so I snipped the end of the plunger off and problem solved. Something to check.
