Yanmar sve 8

Hi, I have a yanmar sve 8 (7hp single cylinder liquid cooled Diesel engine). Does anyone know anything about these. I want to get it out and running since it’s been sitting for a few years. Any tips or tricks. I know this is a garden tractor page but I’d figure I would ask since you guys know the works!

Looks like you've acquired a single cylinder water cooled marine engine. What are your plans for it? Did it come with the transmission?

Exactly, came out of a sailboat and yes it does have a transmission, forward and reverse. I have no plans with it now but just to get it running.
