One From Today…

I was outside of Carlisle PA at a gas station and a guy pulled in with a canary yellow superbird, complete with nose and wing.
It would actually be called Lemon Twist, fender tag code FY1… sorry but thats my Mopar trivia and OCD kickin in. My friend actually has the same exact car in yellow with a black interior, 4-speed, and 440-6bbl. I unfortunately don’t have one of my own pictures of it but here is one from his website along with information on the car from his website….

Do you remember if you saw it in July? That would of been the “big Mopar show” at the fairgrounds.
Didn't get a look at the VIN, but I did see the 426 under the hood and it had the badges on it. I think it was around July. When I lived out that way I use to see all the shows I could, Chevy, Ford, Mopar, Corvettes, etc. A car guys dream in that area.

There was a 'Bird sitting in a back yard in town for probably the whole decade of the '80's and even into the '90's. Weeds grew all around it but it eventually disappeared. Seems like it was the "Petty" blue but I don't know what color called it.

Close as I ever got to having one is slotcars---LOL!

Nice Camaro! Hope they resist the urge to slam it and put giant wheels on it!

While the place workin on the car is a hotrod shop, I don’t think they going to do that with this one Doug. My stepdad and his friend are friends with the owner of the shop and since we were over there today, I went to talk with him and he said its almost done. They just have to get the hood latch painted and put on, then take it for a ride. They were charging the air conditioning when I went over, and it was nice and cold.
