Anyone into lifted trucks?

Not bad shape ole Ford, not my favorite, but can't knock the guy for a decent looking truck.

Just about every vehicle I've owned has had some kind of lift from my trucks to my K5 blazer, even my Astro van was lifted 6 inches.
I had planned to lift my Beetle, but just never happened.

What irritates me the most are these ridiculously lifted ones (regular or moderate is usually alright) and dang near anything that's been "lowered". As an alignment guy I can't tell you how many arguments I got into because they were so low I couldn't even get them on the rack. And then "I" was the idiot when I had to tell these jackalls that I couldn't get their crap anywhere close to driving straight and not eating tires....

Pretty much everything my dad had was lifted too, up until about 10 years ago. I’ll have to find some pictures of his old trucks. Now he leases new trucks, so he leaves them alone. There is a guy I see around here with a Smart car that is lifted up with big tires. Not something I would want, but I have to say, it actually looks kind of cool for a Smart car. I’ll have to try to get a picture next time I see it.
Iowa has a "center of gravity" law. Every vehicle has a specific measuring point and that point cannot be altered more than 6" either up or down. Specs come from the manufacturer and is usually a point on the front center.
I’m not sure if we have that in PA, but I know bumpers cannot be over a certain height. My dad had a lifted Toyota years ago, and he got pulled over once because the rear bumper was too high. The officer said it had to be the factory bumper, he can’t just weld bars on it. He got another factory bumper and mounted it below the original one. No one ever bothered him about it again.
Nice looking Ford, and the lift isn't too ridiculous. Way too much for me to get into but a lot of people can do it!

Lowered too much is just as bad to get in and out of!

I have no idea how people get into some of them. I’m not really into lowered trucks either, stock height 2WD trucks are low enough.
