Saw this at the gas station down the road today. No one around it.

Looks nicely done right down to long ladder bars, fender well headers and true straight axle. Many people use a front drop axle and still call them straight axles. Torque Thrust wheels are sexy too!

It was 100* so not good weather to stand around and talk anyway.

I always wondered how those felt driving down the road.
When the toe is adjusted properly, they go down the road great. My '55 is a stock drop axle but it takes no effort to drive on the highway with very little wander long as the font axle and steering parts are in good shape. Of course with Armstrong steering, putting it into close parking spots can be a chore. If a person can keep the vehicle moving, even slightly, the steering effort is much less. Sitting still sucks---LOL!
