Hi all, well I got the rear wheel ballasted and the chains installed and we had about 1 inch of snow and it blew a little more in front of the shop door so I got the 1620 out fro a test run, it works good I'm liking this tractor more and more

Several years ago, I finally bought a front blade for my Craftsman GT 6000....... of course AFTER we had 2 feet of snow fall in the course of 6-8 hours or so. After that, every time mowing season would end, I would rearrange my 4 GTs in the shed so that the GT 6000 could sit right in front of the doors, blade on, chains on, ready for action. Went two years or so that we didn’t have much snow to speak of, so next Spring, off with the blade, and rearrange again to have the mowing GT nearest the doors.
Then......
One winter, we got 10” or so of snow at one time. Man, was I ready to go push some snow!!! Went out, cleared our driveway and sidewalk, neighbor’s drives and sidewalks, and even went up and down our street to make it better to drive on ( and I was having a blast!!!)

Wife said she looked out the front window from the comfort of her wood-fired heat, and kept looking until she saw me go zooming down the street in front of the house. She figured I had a smile on my face and would come in when either I got cold, or ran out of snow to move. And, she told me later..... all she could think of as she saw me go by the house was...., “There goes Forrest Gump!!”

Oh well.... I was having a great time!

Have a fun with yours!

That's a great story! My dad used to out plows on 2 tractors and all the gear. He would be out there plowing 2" of snow. He finally got tired of it and now may or may not even put a plow on a tractor...

We are due for a snow though!

That power king looks tough with a plow.

Hi all, well this afternoon I fabricated a manual angling rod set up for the PK 1620 it will work good not as handy as hydro angling but it'll do maybe we are threw getting snow ya sure and Santa will be bringing us all new tractors

Well another poster exposed a design flaw in my angling system that will need to ne addressed that being that with the blade angled to the right and if the blade trips it will rip the rod support off the dash this would not be good so here's a few ideas the rod attach point could be moved down the blade reducing rod travel when the blade trips but don't know if that cause too m uch increase in angling effort, 2nd thought is to remove the yellow handle on the rod and install a knob that would pass thur the support bracket hole and drop down 3rd the blade can be locked so it won't trip very simple to do just put the locking pins in place. what do all think

Mount a very solid bracket to the base. Come out to the left and up. This would get you away from the tip part of the plow and give you the leverage to still make it easy to move. Just a thought.
