Would anyone have an extra deck spindle and pulley for a 1975 MF 610 mower deck they would sell?

Thanks in advance

I should have one, the problem is the deck is sitting under 1-2' of snow right now. It may be 3-4 weeks before I can get to it. Are you looking for one of the side spindles or the center one? The deck has all 3. I am planning on stripping the deck down for parts due to the deck was welded back together by PO. One side of the deck is higher and the spindle is not 90* to the lawn.

Thanks! I can understand the snow situation! It doesn't look like any relief in sight that may melt some snow for quite a long time.

On my 610 deck all 3 spindles are the same. One of mine has a scarred center shaft from a bearing failure a few years back. I was going to remove all 3 then and rebuild them but one pulley wouldn't come off with any type of puller with or without heat. I will have to cut one pulley to remove one of the spindles. I guess I would have to see your spindles to know which one I may need if the center one is different from the other two.

You are correct all 3 spindles are the same on the 610 deck. I had it and the 510 deck for the MF14 mixed up. If I remember correct the PO had 1or 2 aftermarket pulleys on the deck. It seems the biggest issue taken the deck spindles off is getting the pulleys off. I have had to cut a few pulleys on some past decks to get the spindles out. I hope to let you know what I find in 2-3 weeks.

DAC the snow melted enough that I was able to the deck to the garage and strip it down to a shell. I forgot to take pictures of the pulleys, all the pulleys are new aluminum aftermarket. I can get pictures tomorrow if you need them. Here are pictures of the spindles, one needs new bearings installed there is a lot of slop. Another one has the seal on the bearing pushed out from being greased. If still interested PM me. Glad they made it and will work out on the deck rebuild.

Ted

Yes! they will work out fine, Ted! If things work out I will have a spare too. I have been paranoid for several years about what to do if I trash a spindle. One of mine was rough after a bearing failure several years ago.

Thanks again, DAC
