Machine do I use ? Jumpins, I just finished all the snow removal yesterday from the last few snow falls. Wish I had three more operators. Hehe.

About 6” of fluffy stuff today. Not hard stuff to move any way.

haven't needed anything but a shovel about 3x this year, not worth getting out the 48" blower for a couple inches or less at a time. but the blower is ready willing and able.... by the sounds of it we may be getting the 1st snow fall worth getting out the blower for, later today into tomorrow --- every time weve gotten much snow it has warmed up and rained within a couple of days so I haven't had to shovel much more than the porch and sidewalk yet, which are places the big GT and blower cant get into anyway. and I'm OK with that.
with my wife being off work from foot surgery (and cant drive right now) and having 2 of our 3 vehicles being 4wd, I think it would take a lot more than usual to get the machine out this year.... I remember as a kid as soon as the driveway as white (I'm talking just enough to take away the blackness) I had Dad's blower out there, probably looked silly to the neighbors.....

I know which one I'd be using the Ford with the Cab, I like blowing snow hate open tractors and coming like the Abdominal Snowman
It's only snow. Hood tied up with a pair of goggles and good to go. Cabs are a pain in the - - - getting on and off the tractor. Always in the way of getting caught on.

So I used the Ford with the cab in the morning, in the afternoon the wind and blowing snow calmed down, so used the cab less John Deere.

Yes cabs do make it harder to get on and off the tractor But as Noel said sitting out in the sifting snow for a hour or more gets me very cold that fine sifting snow soaks into your clothes and man do you be cold and being bundled up with googles and a hood drawn tight or using a helmet visablity is as limited as in a cab, I use the plow on the 1620 PK with no cab and I like that very much but when snow windrow gwts so big it can't be moved anymore so its either get the F-250 out or the snowblower tractor

I keep my clothes, winter and hunting, treated so the water stay out and runs off. If I can keep my hands warm I am good. Hood is over a billed cap so it don't get very tight. Goggles don't bother visibility on my Cub with thrower. Just have to learn where the back end is at when backing up. I have a Bolens Cab with hard top up in the machine shed. windows were broke and scratched up bad so removed the plastic to put new on and the repair shop guy died so that is where the project stopped. It wouldn't fit the 1560 IH Cub anyway.
