Anyone have a GC1723 Massey Ferguson ?

New Holland does, Case makes CUT-sized tractors under the Farmall badge.

I looked at a few today and they look pretty slick! Just wonder if anyone else might have one and has worked it pretty hard?
Did you ever price one out? I see the dealer I dealt with has the 1723e TLB at $16,900 with all the filters for the first service, the extended warranty, and a BXPanded thumb thrown in.

I did from one dealer and he was a bit on the high side at 28k, but thats with snowblower and deck in a hoe tractor

Wow, my dealer does have a good sale on now then. Just talked to him, throw in the blower and the 54” mulching deck gets us up to $23,650.

I better buy two.

What about a used Massey. I was looking at tractor data on the GC1723E specs. Then looked at the model the new one replaced GC1705 , then the model before that GC2400, which goes back to 2008. Specs all mostly all the same. Any thing around used that would do the job.

Blower is still another week out.
When they got it in at the dealer, the front lift, driveshafts, and hydraulic orbit motor all came in a crate. Wherever it came from, it had been sitting outside and gotten rained on and it had a leak. Everything inside was rusted. They ordered new stuff.

I run on turf, gravel, concrete, or blacktop. Or ice. So the best option is turf tires. I tried to get R14T or Versa Turfs, but Massey doesn’t offer that tire option.

The rears go in this week to get loaded with beet juice.

My Massey dealer has the tire with the yellow rim available but says they are less effective with tire chains than the regular turf tire is.
If I have 4wd I don't think I would need chains anymore, I can do all my snowthrowing with out them on my LGT165 now, though it can be challenging at the end of the driveway I have yet to get stuck! The Massey will be a dream to use with 4wd.

Cat, can you look at your new ride and tell me what direction the mid pto turns when facing forward?
I am wondering if I can use my present snowblower or not?

I have ag tires, chains and weight on the back of my LGT 165. Only time I might get stuck is if I drive down hill and can’t back out, or maybe when the snow is over the engine bonnet on the 165. You have a blower or thrower on your 165 skyrydr2 ? Their great old tractors the LGT Fords. Four wheel drive is a great thing thou.

Well I see you have weights on it, how does it work? Have you been using it?
I have not finalized my deal yet so inquiring minds want to know?

Oh, that’s one nice little MF’er.
I don’t have the blower yet, so I haven’t pulled the cover off the mid pto yet.

So how much was your toy at the end of the deal?
They want $20,008.00 for one with a hoe .... and 25.8k with hard cab and heat..
