This is sitting on the farm where I grew up. Used to play on it when i was knee high to a grasshopper. It has sat there 50+ years I know. Always wondered what brand it was. Sorry my pic is so crappy. Its not like I could roll it out in good sunlight. 2 hard tires in front, 4 or 5 horse verticle Clinton engine. Single rear tire [8 inch] that was an air-up tractor lug and is chain driven. There are foot rests or feet ride on the deck itself. Any ideas of what it is?

Someone posted pics of a very similar machine over on MTF not long ago but I didnt follow up and see if they figured out what it was. If I can find the thread again I'll report back... the rounded bodywork under the seat makes me think they are very likely from the same manufacturer.

That's a pretty cool old mower Kris! Can't help on the ID though. Also looks like a pretty cool old car sitting there too!

The car needs to be saved, Kris, if it isn't destroyed by a big crash up front or something! Nothing better than keeping family vehicles going! Happy Birthday to your Dad!

Dad sold it once - way back before my time. The buyer had some problems [he was married, but fixin' to be single  ] Anyhow, his wife took a hatchet to the car! Whacked the fender and put a 6 inch dent in it. Then she whacked the door handle a few times nearly breaking it off. Don't know if the guy was inside the car at the time or not. The guy called dad and said come get this car before my wife destroys it!

Sounds like it still has potential, Kris, but that's easy to say from a thousand miles away. A rat rodder would love the hatchet story and build the car with those scars prominently displayed!
