    Workin' on the Old Tractors

As to the heater, what do you mean by "indirect fire"? And I too find more issues with FedEx deliveries.

    TEMU tools

I've not bought any tools from them, but have bought some little remote control toys for grandson Hunter's. Not overly impressed with their low reliability.

    Stick welding help

I had gas capable wire welders for years but no gas. A few years ago I finally bought s bottle, and I'll never go back to flux core. Welds are lots nicer and maybe stronger. I say maybe as I've never had a failed weld. May break close to weld, but never the weld itself. With gas there's...

Yes it's likely the old fuel in wick preventing the lighter from igniting the wick. I have a round version of kerosene heater I had to buy when our power went out over 2 weeks and used it so I didn't have to run the generator 24/7. These heaters can really crank out the heat when you need it!

I keep our heat at 69 these days. For some odd reason even now on blood thinners I can lower the house thermostat when before thinners I kept house at 72 or 73. We use an electric mattress pad with dual controls. Teresa keeps her side twice as warm as mine. At first if I just had mine at 2...

Couldn't you hang a 2x4 to just above head height anywhere you want, just high enough to easily reach it, to get it closer to fan on heater?

I've slung a few hundred thousands of hay bales in my younger days and never used hooks. Never used gloves either, but gotta say the first few jobs of the season could certainly be painful. Today's jeans would never take the punishment the jeans back in those days could!

At first I had to travel an hour and 20 minutes to my nearest HF. Now the closest south is 20 minutes and north is 30 minutes.

    ARCCAPTAIN Stick/Tig

I'm like Doug, too shaky and no longer have the coordination to use TIG much if at all anymore.

    ARCCAPTAIN Stick/Tig

I've heard nothing but good about ArcCaptain, both welders and their plasma cutters. Their multiprocess welder is DC only, so aluminum has to be done with spool gun as you can't TIG aluminum unless you have AC option, which this one doesn't have. About $300 less than my HF Omnipro 220 that...

    Stick welding help

I'm MOST certainly NOT a professional welder, but I myself see the need for more amps (heat) and slightly wiggle tip of rod side to side, no more than 1/16 to 1/8".

    Workin' on the Old Tractors

Is the hardener the very same you used first time? Reason I ask is newer JD paint I was told is synthetic enamel. If you used basic enamel hardener and different the 2nd painting that could have caused it. A paint shop told me he "thinks" acrylic enamel hardener will work with synthetic...

This old one has no hole for handle, but the ribs above the chuck let's your fingers get a very secure grip on it.
