    Thrust bearing on steering column

Yes, Cub, JD, Gilson and a few other brands all used the same basic gearbox. Some used a different finish to the top of the steering shaft to fit different types of steering wheels.

    Bought another power unit.

Nice score. It a B-125 power unit built in 1948 I believe Dave. Must have been on a combine or bailer I'd guess by the grass screen on the radiator.

    Brought Home a Farmall H

That should make a strong H when you get it up and running with that high compression engine.

    Sheet Metal Work

You should be able to pull it together. You may have to kind of form it over the edge of your workbench to help the outside diameter to come together. Use the photo that Larry sent back to get an idea of what the sections will look like.

    Front wheel id

They could be off of a A/C model B, C, CA, D-10,12 or I'm sure several or brands that I can't think of. Are they just rusty or can you see any paint?

    Badlands 5000# winch repairs

Kenny, that's the one I was showing you. I misspoke about it being from HF. It was on Amazon, glad you found it.

    Badlands 5000# winch repairs

HF has a good deal on that synthetic rope cable Kenny, looks like it's heavy enough for your winch.

What did you do with your tractor today?

Maybe you tore the seal sliding the axle in the housing or the seal was bad to begin with.

    2019 Garden

Mom and Dad always plant by the signs. And we all go by the signs when any of us have to have surgery, I made that mistake once and I'll never do it again if I can help it.

    1945 Lindeman

Lowell, I forgot how crowded things are on the flywheel side of that tractor. It would be a real pain to hand start before they had starters on them. Still looks like you just finished restoring her! You still have the Chevy 1 ton with the Cummins in it?

    Bota Fan belt.

You want to make sure you have the right series belt for your pulleys. B belts are wider and shallower then a V series belt. The V belt is designed for a higher torque load per cross section of the belt and pulley. This means less slippage and less belt wear. Even thought it's hard to see the...

    A pair of TJD's

Dave, that's a great pick for sure. I like the looks of the power unit.

What did you do with your tractor today?

DAC, if the axle or bushing in the housing has a lot of wear, you may not stop it from leaking. Do you have enough room in the axle housing to add packing behind the seal?

    Got this in today.

Looking good Noel, won't be long and you'll have to be using that deck for sure.

    Bota Fan belt.

I agree, time to replace the belt, sorry. And I'd be careful measuring the belt as I'm sure it's stretched now.

    The Ford Blues

There should be a lever under your right leg sitting on the tractor that is the "high-neutral-low" range lever. The only way you can roll the tractor with the engine not running is that lever has to be in neutral. It's that small black lever under the seat. I believe the instructions are...

What did you do with your tractor today?

Mowed the yard again today, with all this rain we've been having this spring I have been mowing since the second week of February on a weekly basis. About June that will slow down I'm sure.
