He's talking about the small gears to the right of the crank, opposite the cam. Kohler calls them "balance gears". Over time they have a habit of "gernading" in the block, causing havoc. Some take them out, others leave them in. Biggest thing with them is their bearings and how much end to end...

Found this for Noel he needs this

First one was a John Deere "level bed" digger. Somewhere I have four of the old "Farmer's Ledger's" they use to give out. Scattered throughout they would have write ups on the equipment that was available those years. Books I have show a single row like in the video and a two row with a added...

    Kohler fuel pump kits

Doug, that retainer is a little wire clip used to hold the valve in place, I'm pretty sure there should be one on each valve. They can be popped out with a small flat tipped screwdriver or pick tool, I'm pretty sure the AC-4S-A kit is the one your looking for. The one kit is for a vacuum...

What are you currently working on??

Have you been to Devils Tower Doug? Been there twice, once in the late 90's and when I was out there a couple years ago. It's a nice place to see.

    New Truck Styles

Look close and you can see where its at on the building wall. And I am not surprised about the price, knowing about that family of dealerships.

    37 tons of gravel

South Dakota seems to love a lot of axles on their trucks, wish I had pictures of the Morris company's double semi dumps from out there, looks like a centipede going down the road.

You could drill a hole through all three pieces and put a pin or bolt through them Doug. Depending on how much weight is on the back of the cart, you might not need too thick of a pin or bolt.

    Coffee spot today.

Looks pretty similar to a early 50's Studebaker too.

    Potato plow

I thought about that, figure I could put it on my 318 or 420, that way I could use the three point to take some of the weight off the plow if I had some traction issues. Not married, was thinking about sticking my uncle on it, being We would plant the spuds at his place.

    Potato plow

I have a little more work to do on it, the idea is to mount a seat to the top rear of the plow frame. This way here a person could sit there and drop seed spuds in the furrow and use their legs and feet to put down pressure on the covering disk. When it is time to dig the spuds, the covering...

    Potato plow

Came up with this idea about a year ago, can be used to plant and plow up spuds, have yet to give it a try.

Yep, for Brinly implements. You could look at the photos and maybe copy or improve on their design.

Hey Doug, Heavy Hitch makes a Brinly hitch adapter for receiver hitches, I have one for my 318/420. They are pretty well built.

I think that's a Avery 40-60 or 40-80. Back in the day they use to number them by horsepower rating, lowest number is drawbar pull hp, and the highest is the belt pulley hp. While the horsepower rating may seem low, the gearing and torque in those beast could pull a house off it's foundation.

    Next JD project.

A lot of guy's on WFM , (me included) tend to change out the chute on the JD. Some put a taller one on, or like I have done, use a round chute off of a older 37, 37a OR 49 blower.

Three ways to tell them apart Noel, D has a tall hood, tall wheels, and the biggest give away, straight across front axle. The GP has a hump where the center pivot is.
