Was at a friends place this afternoon. He drug this out of a corner. I just had to get pictures for member Propane1.
The plow has wings with hinges on them and adjustable brackets. This plow fits on his Country Squire tractor.

That sorta looks like a furrow Plow a rear tine walk behind tiller would have for making rows and hilling potato’s.
Neat looking tool Rick. That would spread out the potato’s.

Noel
Acquired this the other day. It has a rudder on it liked we mentioned.
Sears 917.60608 potato plow.

That’s neat too. I wonder if the rudder should be deeper. Sorta follow the same angle downward all the way to the back. Be good and deep that way.

Came up with this idea about a year ago, can be used to plant and plow up spuds, have yet to give it a try.

I have a little more work to do on it, the idea is to mount a seat to the top rear of the plow frame. This way here a person could sit there and drop seed spuds in the furrow and use their legs and feet to put down pressure on the covering disk. When it is time to dig the spuds, the covering disk can be folded up out of the way.

What about some black plastic pipe, cut a 60 degree angle on the end of the pipe and put it down behind Plow, with the 60 degree cut pointing to the back behind the Plow. Then route the pipe up to the drivers seat on the tractor. Have your sets with you in a box and you could drop the potato sets in as you want. One person operation. I am kinda wondering if a garden tractor would pull the set up you have with a person on it. Just some thoughts I had.

I thought about that, figure I could put it on my 318 or 420, that way I could use the three point to take some of the weight off the plow if I had some traction issues.
Just have to retrain the wife,,,, again.
Not married, was thinking about sticking my uncle on it, being We would plant the spuds at his place.

Walk behind potato Plow picture I found on Internet.

These show up on Craig's list and facebook market place quite often. They are usually asking around a $150 for them. Can't imagine that many sell for that price.
