So the story behind this project, a good friend was gonna pay me to fully restore it for him so he could continue mowing his lawn with as he enjoyed using it. A year went by an he asked if I wanted it as he bought a large zero turn, so of course I went right up with the trailer an brought it home. As I had some other projects it sat on the back burner for a year , finally pulled the engine to rebuild it once it was done I put it back in an couldn't get it running Irritated I pushed it under the lean to. After helping a good friend restore the entire 200 series first year production tractors , said he was going to be selling parts so back in it came in January. I made a list of parts I needed made the trip down an then came home an I've been slowly working in bringing it back to life. With his help sorted the wiring out an it roared back to life an it runs smooth as ever. Then I started taking it apart an getting parts ready for paint. An now for the pictures that you've been waiting for.

Looking good! I see it has a variator lever like my JD110. Is it a Peerless 2300 transaxle? Must be a bigger engine. My 110 has a K181 8Hp.

Thanks for taking us along on this resto!

Deere used 2300's in the square fender 110, 112, and all the 200's, the 208 was a economy version of the 200, it doesn't have a variator. My 110 had a 8hp till it started smoking, I replaced it with a 10hp.

Looks like you may have used the new JD Ag Green, or is it the Classic Green that came out on the 210? The new Ag Green is brighter and in my opinion a prettier flashy paint. Either way she's looking fantastic!
Classic green was supposedly last used on the Two Cylinder Era tractors and equipment, it might have carried over into 3010, 4010, 3020, and 4020's, but after that it should be the New Ag Green.

Little known fact, in some of the early 112's Deere used a limited slip version of the 2300 transmission, the 2308 or 2380, not exactly sure which at the moment
