A couple old 725s

I made a little trip to a friends place a couple of weeks back and picked up two Simplicity 725 tractors,a nice bolt together 42 inch deck and a 46 inch spring trip dozer along with several narrow 4.80 and 4.00 by 8 front tires.
Then we swung by his brothers place and picked picked up a Deere 112 round fender chassis to bring back for another friend.
The tall steering column 725 is a original tractor, the short column 725 someone at sometime had started to build a pulling tractor.
They had swapped a 10 hp Kohler into that tractor and added a foot throttle
It also has a adjustable hitch setup and the lift has been removed.
The 59-63 700 and 725 models are up at the top of my list of favorite antique garden tractors.
I like the Allis B1 and Montgomery Wards badged versions too but the 700,725 are just above them on the list.
I'm probably a little biased though since my 1960 Simplicity 700 got started me in this hobby when I drug it of the woods beside a pond in 93.
I still have that 700.
That 700 now has a slightly bigger model 23 Briggs in it these days.
I have already pulled the engine and cleaned up the stock 725 and will start a thread on it soon. Depending on how bad off the stock model 19 engine is,it might get a 16 hp cast iron Briggs for now.
The 725 that someone started to build a puller with I may finish as a puller. Not sure what engine I will go with for it.
If I do finish it as a puller I will check with local pulling clubs but I am putting together a Vanguard V twin that will be looking for a home in one of my tractors.
